What is Search Engine Optimisation?

Search Engine Optimisation is the process of making a web page highly relevant for certain key words or phrases. Successful Search Engine Optimisation helps a web page gain top positioning on spider-based search engines like Google for the optimised words and phrases.


This definition is the average of all most commonly used definitions on the Web. The aim of SEO in simple terms is to get visitors to your web pages through search engines by making the content of your web pages relevant to people’s searches. The key word here is “content” – the text on each of your web page(s). There is a lot more to SEO than the simple definition above. The way you should look at Search Engine Optimisation is to think about the goals of search engines like Google. Here’s Google’s stated goal:


“Google's mission is to deliver the best search experience on the Internet by making the world's information universally accessible and useful.” (Google, http://www.google.com.au/intl/en/profile.html)


Aligning our website with the goals of search engines allows us to bypass a lot of technical detail and aim straight for the target. In simple terms it’s about giving the search engines what they need. In the case of Google, it’s all about delivering “best search experience” with “useful” information. If your website can help with that, then Google is interested. But isn’t that what a good website should do anyway?


Looking at it this way, the target of SEO is no longer the search engines themselves but the end customers, the searchers (visitors or web users). Going straight to the target, we can bypass the technicalities and focus on the key aim. If we can satisfy the end customer, then we will have satisfied Google’s goal. With this in mind, it’s easy to see why some websites are always ranked higher than others on Google – they simply deliver “useful” information, well. They meet Google’s objectives.


Even Google says, “Make pages for users, not for search engines” (Google, http://www.google.com/webmasters/guidelines.html).

Our Internet Marketing Services must be contracted for a minimum of one year and pare priced at a minum of 6000 Euros per year. This is because SEO is an ongoing and time-consuming process and can take months until you can see significant results.

We undertake SEO in the following steps:

Analysing
We analyse your website for suitability, as not all websites can be optimised. Sometimes we suggest you contract a completely new website, especially if your website comprises frames, only one HTML page or flash. Click here for examples of websites that are not suitable for SEO. 

Planning
If your website is suitable for SEO, we present you with an SEO marketing plan. This will detail key phrases to be used, markets to be targeted, a time frame for the proceeding steps and an estimation of the expected traffic (the minimum we guarantee is 100% more traffic after the first year).

Redesign and Structure Changes
We amend your website accordingly, in terms of both design and structure. As part of these alterations we ensure navigation is made easier and increase the download speed.  

On-Page Optimisation
We ensure that each page counts, with descriptive page titles, headers and meta tags, and alt descriptions for the graphics. We also increase the keyword density of the website’s text, and add text link navigation to each page. If a client uses database-driven content we create static URLs direct to dedicated pages in order to make database content visible to search engines.

Outbound Linking
We search for websites that have related content and place links from your website to increase its topic authority. We always ensure that we choose these links carefully as your website should only be linked to other quality websites that are relevant to the user.

Indexing in search engines and directories
We ensure that your website is indexed in all the big search engines such as Google. We will place links on all our own websites to yours, complete with sitemaps.

Link Building
Link building is one of the most important steps of SEO. We are currently building a directory for the purpose of finding link partners. You will get entered into this directory for free in return for two links from your website to any of our clients’ websites.

Reporting
We issue you with an explanatory report every three months. The report details your search engine rankings and the increase in traffic to your website. After analysing the report, we decide upon ways to further increase your website’s traffic.

Please note: We can only contract a limited number of new clients every month due to our workload and limited human resources. If you would like to contract our services we can analyse your website for feasibility and add you to the waiting list. Please be advised that you may have to wait up to two months before we can start working on your website

Hosting


We host your web site on reliable Servers in Germany. Bandwidth is unlimited so is monthly traffic. This includes E-mail facility for up to 100 mailboxes. Server site SPAM filter and virus Protection are available upon request. In order to avoid conflicts we do not provide FTP access to any of the accounts.


Content Management System


We developed a search engine friendly content management system which allows you to update all your text and articles using an easy to use Control Panel. Most CMS suffer from the same problems: The code they produce is not valid html and overloads the code with a lot of unnecessary formatting tags and attributes. Also most CMS save the content in a database and use query strings in the URL. We build a Content Management System for you who use valid CSS and static URL’s in order to be as search engine friendly as possible.
